I bought this for my aunt, she likes these types of books and information, says for the subject this is one of the better authors and well known for being honest in his opinions. This issue was a reprint and a fine copy, good deal and shipped fast.

My mother owned this book years ago and I found it very informative and helpful. I love anything that has to do with natural cures and this book really has some great information that works. I purchased this copy for my niece because she was intrested in the healing properties of vinegar. Great stuff!

A second look at "Folk Medicine"... makes me realize just how fortunate we are to have such a wealth of information available to us? The various health issues/conditions which D.C. Jarvis, M.D. presents are as important (and controversial) today as they ever were back in 1955. This is a medical doctor of a different era who allowed himself to evaluate the 'common sense' traditions of care with an eye for scientific evaluations. These anecdotal traditions were proven reasonable and beneficial when applied as simple methods to the care of herds for farmers who were searching for answers to improve the health and improved production outcomes for their cows. The simplicity of using brown, apple cider vinegar, honey, and traditional herbs to garner fairly remarkable results will cause the reader to pause and remember his own granny's remedies and review the extravagance we now have incorporated into our own health and well being. This should be a must read for all people concerned with health and wellness.
